For help with BigRec Button, email codecrafty@live.com. Include the kind of device you use and a short description of what happened. Never send the family access word or attach a private recording to a support message.

The access word does not work

Ask the family organizer who shared the app for the current access word. Spaces and capital letters do not matter. If the gate still does not open, completely close BigRec Button, open it again, and retry. Contact support if the message continues.

Recording will not start

Open iPhone or iPad Settings, choose Apps, choose BigRec Button, and turn on Microphone access. On an older system, choose BigRec Button directly in the main Settings list. Return to the app and press the BigRec Button once to record.

A take is waiting to send

After pressing Stop & send, keep BigRec Button open with an internet connection until its status says “All takes caught.” If a take is waiting, leave the app installed and reopen it when the device is online; delivery retries automatically. BigRec Button intentionally has no playback screen, so the absence of playback does not mean the take was lost.

Listen, download, or delete a take

Open the web collection and enter the same access word as the app. Anyone with that word has free access to every take. Choose Delete beside a take, check its date and duration, then confirm to permanently remove that one take from the server. There is no bulk-delete control. Copies already downloaded are not removed. Use Lock collection when done.

For help or a deletion request covering an installation, email codecrafty@live.com with “BigRec Button deletion request” in the subject. Say whether you want one take or every take from the installation deleted, and include the approximate recording date, time, time zone, and a description of the device. Support may ask for another detail needed to identify the correct recording, but will never ask for the family access word.
